Great location when traveling to betws. Couldn’t get any closer to the centre if you tried. Would explain the price of the stay. Room is quite basic for the price however, we did stay on a Saturday last weekend of half term!
Staff were excellent very helpful and respectful. Breakfast Good value for money if you’re looking to fill up for your day of walking or biking the area. Hire bikes from bricks betws, we had a discount code from the Royal Oak so make sure to book after you arrive. Id heard the food in the oak is very nice and good standard however, we had already planned to visit the pizza place across the field!
Great stay would defo visit again

It was a wonderful place to stay in North wales. I love the location, and it has a great view of hills. It is easier to cover the Snowdonia peaks from this location. Lovely place, lovely people. I will recommend this place.

Betws-y-coed is a renowned and often-visited location in Snowdonia, perfectly suited for famililies and countryside trekkers alike. Some of the restaurants and hotels may be expensive, but that is a reflection of the location's notoriety. There are, however, budget options for dining and accomodation. Betws-y-coed is well-placed for those who are visiting Snowdonia for hiking, for climbing, or for exploration of the dramatic mountainous countryside. We noticed that a great many other holiday-makers had brought their dogs as well as their children, we therefore assume that a good number of hotels in the area are dog-friendly. Betws-y-coed nightlife consists mainly of alfresco dining and drinking with banter between friends - that is the general impression we have of the nightime atmosphere. We have stayed in Betws-y-coed on three previous ocassions and will do so again.

Betws-y-coed is a really nice place and makes you feel like you really are on holiday. The views are stunning and have a real European feel. The place gets really busy so getting an evening meal can be tricky. Food and drinks are expensive, they are more than London prices. Compared to other places in North wales, Betws-y-coed is head and shoulders above them.

Beautiful scenery and great for walking.
Beautiful scenery and great for walking. Accessed by road and rail, its central location is ideal for visits to Bodnant Gardens and Snowdonia. Relatively easy for keen walkers to reach Fairy Glen and Conwy Falls, as well as Swallow Falls and the Ugly House..
Characterised by substantial stone properties and its riverside location, this is a charming place which can get very busy with hikers and sightseers. It's only a small town, but there are a variety of shops and places to eat - from small cafes to hotel restaurants to suit all pockets, but quality varies. Excellent food is available in the Royal Oak Hotel restaurant.
Golfers are welcome at the flat 9 hole course which has excellent greens and is well maintained.

Beautiful area....if you haven't been would highly recommend it. Plenty of outdoor activities and nice shops/restaurants/Coffee houses.
Very friendly area!! Only an hour from Holyhead ferry terminal.
As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Michelle who was extremely friendly and helpful, as with all the staff there, they went over and above to make our stay a positive one! It was the first time we had used a dog friendly hotel for our pup Olive and they accommodated her brilliantly! Aswell as breakfast, we ate at the hotel both nights, the food was delicious and the standard was comparable to what we ate at the Four Seasons in London few weeks back! Very impressed! We were only 14 miles away from Snowdon so perfect location.
The room was exceptional for the price, and in an established building of a well known Welsh village.
The bed was really comfy, and good bedding.
Excellent availability of tea and coffee supplies for the room, easily available outside the room.
Particularly loved the key safe option for the room key and front door outside the main door.
Communication online was excellent.
Particularly loved the lack of noise, which I know I would have suffered in bigger accommodation nearby, due to lads on weekend hols.
Hotel location very close to the village centre with church nearby (nice to hear the bells). breakfast was very nice served in the room itself caused by covid restrictions, room was clean with hair-dryer, kettle and plenty of tea/coffee supply. Julie & Tony were really accommodating - prepared a take-away breakfast for us to have on our trip to the top of Snowdon. Really loved the whole area around the hotel and had a great time. Would recommend to everyone. Thank you very much for everything
We had a health problem and the owner changed the dates for us without charging extra with absolutely no hassle .
The hotel is just a short walk from the town/village Center and was very warm , this is a good walkers hotel.
It is not 5 star but very decent for the money so we were happy .
Well priced for the area and access to walking routes and transport .
The hotel is in a quiet place but at the same time on a main road.
The owner is nice and breakfast decent .
The room and bed was comfortable, and there is plenty of space in the facility. For a hostel, the room had more hotel like facilities with tea and coffee etc. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was very good with plenty on offer. Its a good start to the day. Also the dining area is spacious
There are some really comfortable chairs which you can relax in after a long day
The location of the hotel was perfect an easy walk into town and some interesting walks close by. The staff were amazing so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Special thanks to Michelle who was wonderful such an asset to the hotel. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend. The gardens were beautifully kept and the riverside location was such a bonus.
A lovely hotel. Lovely view of the River Conwy from the bedroom window. The bedroom was clean and nicely decorated and the shower was very modern and clean too . So much choice on the dinner menu , my steak was excellent . The staff were friendly too . Whenever I visit Betws y Coed in the future I'll be staying here .
The cottage is very charming and situated in a quiet little village. It's also extremely close to any attractions you might be interested in, e.g. Snowdon, Glyder Fawr & Fach, Penrhyn Quarry, etc. It's just a perfect getaway from a busy town. It's extremely cozy - especially if you light the fireplace and enjoy a cuppa :)
We really enjoyed the breakfast with the artisan breads, the locally sourced foods, and the wonderful preperation. The proprioters we gractious and friendly and very proud (rightfully so) of their B & B. They seem to be very active in their Welsh community and had an excellent knowledge of the restaurants in the area.
Dinner at their restaurant was fantastic. (But hard to get a reservation--book early.) They're very attentive to the Covid guidelines. The hotel is located in the middle of everything--near to pubs and also great hiking options. Free parking behind the church was reliable.
the location was great right in the centre of Betws y Coed. The hotel had its own car park which was great. We couldnt fault the hotel and the standard of the breakfast was excellent. We had dinner in the Grill restaurant both nights the food was great,
Hotel was clean, modern & very welcoming. We took our dog with us too & he was welcomed at breakfast with a sausage.
Rooms were clean & spacious, location was fab right in betws y coed village and staff were lovely.
Fantastic location with car park - perfect spot for exploring Betws y Coed. Super cosy traditional hotel with open fire and carpets. Quite old skool decor and basic pub grub but I like that :) Slept really well too.
Great hotel in lovely location, rooms were large and fitted out well, hotel, room and surroundings very clean, staff were nice, welcoming and friendly, food and service both excellent, would definitely recommend.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Loved the room and the fact it was only attended to if you needed it. The location is great. And the hotel is very dog friendly.
We loved this hotel. perfectly placed in Betws-y-coed for food and the cute little shops. everything was in walking distance. We will stay there again on our next visit.
